October 1, 2018

This exhibit gathers the work of 12 Indigenous artists working in printmaking, who each adopt a unique perspective from which to consider the ideas of community, place and belonging. Organized by Melanie Yazzie, professor of art at the University of Colorado at Boulder, this exhibition demonstrates an Indigenous relationship to home and homeland, enmeshed in a history of defense, sacrifice, resiliency and redefinition

The exhibit will be showing in the Fireplace Lounge of Dayton Memorial Library through Oct. 30. A reception and gallery talk by Melanie Yazzie will take place on Oct. 11 at 4:30 p.m.
