The Rocky Flats Plant Exhibition is on display on the 2nd floor of the Dayton Memorial Library through the end of the semester. Rocky Flats was a nuclear weapons production facility that had a huge influence on the Cold War, manufacturing the plutonium “core” of nuclear weapons.
Jeff Gipe is the artist; he grew up five miles southwest of Rocky Flats and his father worked there for twenty years. Stop by and see the 3 pieces in this exhibit and learn more about the history of Rocky Flats. This exhibit is sponsored by Peace and Justice Studies, the Regis College Dean’s Office, and the department of Fine and Performing Arts.
