Harvard Business Review access

by

Thousands of Harvard Business Review articles are available in full text through the library’s subscription to the EBSCOhost database Business Source Complete. Most articles are accessible with options to save, print, or download for personal use.

However, as of August 1, 2013, 500 frequently used articles (as designated by Harvard Business Publishing) have been restricted as “read-only” content. If an article is designated as frequently used, you will not be able to save, print, or download the article. The full record in Business Source Complete for a Harvard Business Review article with these restrictions will display the message

“The publisher offers limited access to this article. The full text cannot be printed or saved.”

You can still access the full-text of the article, but you will need to search for the article in Business Source Complete to view the PDF. EBSCOhost has indicated they do not have a list of restricted titles from Harvard Business Review, as the titles can change from time to time.

As a reminder, Harvard Business Review and Harvard Business Publishing Newsletter content on EBSCOhost is licensed for the private individual use of authorized EBSCOhost users. It is not intended for use as assigned course material in academic institutions. Academic licensees may not use this content in electronic reserves, electronic course packs, persistent linking from syllabi or by any other means of incorporating the content into course resources.
