Dayton Memorial Library
The chat with a librarian service is available 24/7.
If you would like to see the library buy more books in a certain subject area, or wish to suggest that a specific book or journal be purchased by the library, you can contact the subject specialist/bibliographer for your area or discipline.
Currently, there are 2 exhibits in the Dayton Memorial Library showcasing items from the Notarianni Political Collection. Both exhibits are on display through the end of September.
Political Firsts – Doyle and Margaret Hartman Gallery
This exhibit looks back at some of the other “firsts” which have influenced both presidential campaigning and the electoral process itself.
Third Party and Hopeful Candidates – 4th floor permanent exhibit case for the Notarianni collection
This exhibit includes campaign buttons from Third Party and presidential hopefuls who were women and/or African American. A Third Party candidate is a candidate for President or Vice-President that was on the Presidential election ballot under a party other than Republican or Democratic. A Hopeful candidate is someone who ran for President or Vice-President in the Republican or Democratic primaries, but was not selected as the party’s candidate.
